Celina Bulldogs Football!

Go DOGS!!!!!

The 2014 Celina Bulldogs Football Season begins TONIGHT!     The high school has asked us to pass along the dress up themes for this years' games!    Students who are attending the games do NOT have to dress to these themes, but are invited to join the HS students in supporting the Bulldogs! 


August 29 - Vs Versailles - America Theme: Wear Red, White and Blue 

September 5 Vs Bath - Hip Hop Theme: Dress like a hip hop singer or rapper 

September 26 - Vs Wapakoneta -Neon Theme: Wear neon colors 

Octoer 3 - Vs St. Marys (AWAY GAME) - All out: Wear all Celina Clothes, Colors, Jerseys 

October 10 - Vs Van Wert - Pink Out: Wear Pink (Breast Cancer Awareness) 

Octo er 17 - Vs Shawnee - Camo: Wear Camo Clothes/Colors 

October 31 - Vs Elida (AWAY GAME) - Blackout: Wear All Black

First Week!

Our first full week of school is almost complete and the students have been awesome!  Between being exhausted from the long days and the heat, the students have really demonstrated that we have great kiddos!

Just a reminder for Kindergarten parents, tomorrow (Friday, August 29) ALL Kindergarten students will be in session.

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 1 in honor of Labor Day.

Happy First Day of School!  We are so excited to have the kids back in the building!  It is amazing how so many kids have grown over the short summer.  The staff loves to hear all of the fun things that the kiddos did while they have been away.

Can you believe this is the last full week before school starts?!  It is crazy how fast this summer has gone!  We can't wait to see the kiddos and hear what they have been up to.

Part of making the school year a success is getting your child to school on time!  Here is information for arrival and dismissal for the 2015-2016 school year.

Bus Routes and Other Bus Information:

Arrival to CPS in the morning:
·      - Doors will open at 8:00 for students eating breakfast, those arriving at 8:00 for breakfast need to enter through the main office doors and go directly to the cafeteria.  If your child is not eating breakfast, do not drop them off at 8:00!

·      - Doors will open at 8:15 for students not eating breakfast; this includes Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and the main doors. 

·      - Bus Riders: the busses will arrive at CPS between 8:15 – 8:25, if a child is eating breakfast they need to exit the bus and go directly to the cafeteria.

·     -  Bus riders not eating breakfast will remain on the bus or in the main lobby until 8:20 to be released to go to their classroom.

·      All Students will be allowed to go to their classroom at 8:20.

·     - NO CARS should enter the front drive between 8:10 – 8:45 due to busses.

·    -   If you drop off your child use the back drive, please do NOT park in either lane and exit your vehicle.  As you use the back drive, the right lane is for drop off and the left lane is for thru traffic – please do NOT block the left lane.  Please enter the back drive using the left lane and merge into the right lane when you arrive to the door needed for drop off, and then merge carefully back into the left lane to exit.

·      - If you drop off your child and need to exit your vehicle, please park in the West or North parking lot – do NOT exit your vehicle in the drop off lanes.

·      - The first bell will ring at 8:30, the tardy bell will ring at 8:35.  If your child arrives after 8:35, your child must check in at the attendance office.

·      - Breakfast is served from 8:00 – 8:40.  If your child arrives after 8:40, breakfast will not be available.  Breakfast is not served on 2 hour delays.

Dismissal of CPS in the afternoon:
·      - Students will be dismissed at 3:20 for walkers and car riders.  The bus riders will be dismissed in 2 rounds, the first round at 3:15 and the second round at 3:20.

·      - If you are picking your child up from school, please use the back drive.  Please do not arrive  earlier than 3:00 due to recess.

·      - NO CARS should enter the front drive between 3:00 – 3:40 due to busses entering the circle drive.

·      - If you pick up your child use the back drive, please do NOT park in either lane and exit your vehicle.  As you use the back drive, the right lane is for drop off and the left lane is for thru traffic – please do NOT block the left lane.  Please enter the back drive using the left lane and merge into the right lane when you arrive to the door needed for drop off, and then merge carefully back into the left lane to exit.

·      - If you pick up your child and need to exit your vehicle, please park in the West or North parking lot – do NOT exit your vehicle in the drop off lanes.

·      - Students being picked up will be released from their grade level doors.

Additional Information:
·      - Please remember to drive slowly and carefully through the back drive.

·      - Please do NOT use your cell phone while driving on school property.

·      - On the first day of school, parents may walk their child to his/her classroom.  Parents will need to park in the parking lot.  After the first day, we ask that parents allow children to enter the building on their own.  There will be staff members in the hallways assisting children to their classroom.

·      - If you have a specific bus question, please contact Kim Sutter at the Celina City Schools Bus Garage at 419-586-8300 ext. 3400.


·     -  If you have other questions about arrival or dismissal, please call the CPS office at 419-586-8300 ext. 2500.

Good Friday Morning!  

Celina Primary School has posted the class lists for the 2014-2015 school year on the front doors of the building.    Stop by and check out who your teacher will be and who will be in your classroom!  

School is right around the corner!!!  We can't WAIT to see you!   

A couple of reminders: 

  • Please double check the list for mistakes and misspellings.  If you notice a mistake, please call our office at 419-586-8300 ext. 2500.    We will correct it immediately!   (Due to computer issues, we had to hand type all the names this year!)     We apologize in advance if we make any mistakes! 
  • Please do not take pictures of the class lists and post them to ANY social media.  This is for the safety of our children!  Some parents do not want that information advertised on the internet.   
  • August 11-15, you can pick up your child's Back to School folder and get a head start on all the paperwork! The office will be open between 8am-2pm.    
  • Back to School Night for Students in Grades 1 and 2 will be August 18th from 5:30-6:30pm.  The first day of school for Students in Grades 1 and 2 will be August 20th!   
  • Orientation for Kindergarten Students will be August 20th.   You should have received a letter with your orientation time and your child's Green or White group schedule.  If you don't have this letter, please call the office! 
  • Book fees for students in Grades K, 1 and 2 will be $75. 
  • Here is a morning schedule for CPS:     
    • 8:00 - Breakfast Students can enter the building and head to the cafeteria.
    • 8:15 - Bus Students can enter the building. 
    • 8:20 - All Students can enter the building and head to their classrooms. 
    • 8:30 - The Morning Announcements will start. 
    • 8:35 - The tardy bell rings and school starts.

Breakfast/Lunch Info

As we approach the beginning of the school year, many forms need to be completed.  Some of them we are able to use information that was supplied the previous year, and some you need to fill out every year.

If you qualify, or think you might qualify, for Free/Reduced breakfast and lunch you NEED to complete the necessary form every year!  You only need to complete one form per household.  The form is available in the office, but it can also be printed:

Lunch = $2.30

*Reduced Price Breakfast = $0.30

Upcoming Dates

Class Lists will be posted on the main doors at CPS on Friday, August 8 for Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grades!

August 11 - 15, please pick up your child's school folder that includes various forms and information.   If you are planning on having someone else pick up your child's folder, please call (419-586-8300 ext. 2500) or send a note giving permission.  Due to personal information (Social Security Number, etc) we will not hand out folders without permission to persons other than the legal guardian/parent.

August 18 (5:30 - 6:30) will be our Back to School Night for 1st & 2nd grades.

August 20 will be the students' first day of school and Kindergarten orientation.
