Arrival and Dismissal at CPS

To:      Parents / Babysitters
Re:      Morning / Afternoon Traffic
Date: December 2, 2014
Please REMEMBER:
PLEASE DO NOT PARK AND LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE IN EITHER OF THE TWO LANES. If you need to come into school to meet with your child’s teacher, please park in a designated parking spot so that we can keep traffic moving.   When parents park near the curb and exit the vehicle, it causes congestion and a potentially unsafe situation.
These rules are in place as a courtesy to the other parents and students, but more importantly for the safety of our children.
Celina Primary School has two lanes of traffic for dropping off and picking up students before and after school. Both lanes flow behind the school building. The right lane is for students to exit and enter the vehicle.
The left lane is designed to be the through traffic lane only. For the safety of our students, please do not have children enter or exit your vehicle if you are in the left lane.  It is too dangerous for children to cross anywhere other than the designated crosswalk area.
Ideally, you would enter the driveway in the left lane, and then veer into the right lane to drop-off or pick-up your student(s), then veer back into the left lane and exit school grounds.
Please do not create a THIRD lane of traffic.
Please remember if we all take our time, have patience and use our manners, everyone will get home safely!
We need EVERYONE to be fully alert around our building before and after school.  We are asking that you NOT use your cell phone while on or near the primary school driveways and parking lots!

It takes EVERYONE to keep our kids SAFE!!!!      PLEASE use common sense and courtesy!    Our students THANK YOU!
